2D and 3D design
Here at GC Engineering our team of design engineers, with over 30 years collective design experience, can utilise the latest computer aided 2D and 3D design software to efficiently design solutions for the specific and individual requirements of each customer. We are highly skilled in the use of AutoCAD, Inventor and Solidworks. Our experience guarantees cost effective functionality regardless of the size or complexities of the project.
Site Surveying, layout drawings and as Built Drawings
Site surveys are part of our everyday work at GC Engineering and all of our engineers are highly professional and understand the importance of following individual site rules and procedures. Whether you are scoping out new plant equipment or want a virtual and interactive drawing of your site we have a wide range of options to suit your needs. We have a wealth of experience when it comes to carrying out accurate site surveys are capable of surveying and measuring existing equipment, buildings and services to a high degree of accuracy.
Detailed Drawings for manufacture
On completion of the design process, we can create manufacturing drawings, below is a list of the services included:
- Component Drawings for shop floor use
- Assembly and Sub-Assembly Drawings (showing sequence of assembly)
- Bill of Materials linking directly to parts
- Fixings and Bought in components clearly illustrated
- Flat Pattern .DXF output or .STL output for profile cutting
- Printing Service for larger drawings, A0-A2 in size.
We can provide a fixed price for the above service or work on a time cost basis.
Paper to CAD Conversion – P&ID drawings, electrical panel drawings
Why not let us update your drawings by taking them from paper to an online resource that will stand the test of time. We can also complete P&ID drawings and electrical panel drawings, once these drawings have been converted to CAD, they can then be updated as required and any future modifications easily made. This removes the requirement for outdated panel drawings with penned on amendments and allows for drawings to be easily revised and controlled.
Feasibility Design
Feasibility is a critical part of any project and allows for investigation of the circumstance and options in order for the way forward to be determined. Our engineers know that all elements of a project need to be established and agreed before proceeding. Working closely with clients to provide ideas and solutions is what we do best. Drawings are almost always required during the very early stages of a project, allowing for a firm business case to be developed and accurate costings to be compiled, so that a decision can be realised quickly, saving on wasted time and resource. Our drawings provide clients with the solid foundation for the start of a project’s lifecycle.
